En la final de Winbledom, entre las hermanas Williams, Serena le ganó a Venus y obtubo su tercer título de Wimbledon y el 11º Grand Slam. Serena Williams derrotó a Venus Williams por 7-6 (3), 6-2.

Serena también superó a Venus en las finales de Wimbledon en 2002 y 2003, pero perdió contra su hermana mayor en el partido por el título el año pasado en el All England Club. Serena tiene marca de 6-2 contra Venus en finales de Grand Slam, y 11-10 en todos sus enfrentamientos.

Las hermanas Williams han ganado ocho de los 10 títulos de Wimbledon esta década.
